I have been checking out the so-called Canon Privilege Purchase Program. Didn’t know about it until i came across ClubSnap thread posting. Deciding to try my luck i make my way to Keppel Bay Tower. Based on current Canon’s website, the Canon S95 is retailing for S$669.00 with a free 8GB SDHC card and camera pouch. Did my sourcing and found the Canon S95 lowest i can get is at TKphoto at $599.00! Other shops around Funan is not worth mentioning although comes with additional screen protector and tripod. Some shops don’t even have the stock on hand.
Made my Canon S95 order on Monday and surprisingly received the sms notification 1 days later which is on Tuesday, informing me that the Canon S95 is ready for collection! Unbelieving fast as i was advise it may take up tp 2-4week for the stock to come in.
Making your order
You need to bring either your working or faulty equipment (which you will be trading in) to Canon Service Center. Take your queue ticket (repair button) and tell the consultant that you would like to purchase camera using the Canon Privilege Purchase Program. Then proceed down to 1st level Canon Digital (Redemption Center) for your pouch and SD card collection! (Do not attempt to called the reception or service center. They would not mention or acknowledge there is such program at all).
