Chiffcameras A place where i bought my MD adaptor and PEN-2 case. although it is not cheapest in the market, but you definitely can trust the quality and the service by Chiff. It is also the place where you can find the widest range of Voigtlander lens, view finder and adaptor. Not to miss out Lecia. You can check out his Flickr for various lens test result.

Check out SLR Revolution if you need installment plan for expensive lens. This is the place with good service attitude staff. They are quite prompt in answering to your enquiries and so far it is the next shop i will usually walk-in for enquiries beside John 3:16.

John 3:16 Photo Supplies. Another good place to get your camera and kit. The price is not the lowest in the market but in terms of business ethics and trustworthy, this is the shop to go. If you are not those who have good patience type or easily agitated because no one is serving you, i recommend that you do not visit this shop as it is always jam pack with customers and they will usually give full explanation and recommendation to customers if you manage to catch their attention.
You can miss the trying to email and call their mainline. Most of the time you will not get any pickup or reply. Would suggest you visit their shop. If not, try visiting them at odd hours to beat the crowd.

Orient Photo situated at the highest floor of Sim Lim Square. One would expect it to be there since all camera dealers are either at 1st or 2nd level. The shop is kinda of narrow of customers to walk-in. I experience it personally when I was there. There need to be mutual courtesy to walk-in and out of the shop as the crowd flow is non stop. Do not expect them to come out and serve you. You have to be proactive to catch their attention. The shop do sell gray products and offer a 1-year shop warranty if you do not mind. The price range various on the items you are buying. At time you might get a good deal. Which i did for my camera bag when they match it with another shop i saw it.

The Camera Workshop is deals in 2nd hand camera and brand new too. Is shop might have a huge range of accessories and manual cameras which of course cannot be compare to CP across the road in term of new camera and accessories. But you might find some good deals on limited items within it. Like i gotten hold of my Lumix LX2 camera Lecia similar leather casing at good price. Same deal for neck lanyard for my Minolta X700. The shop staff might not be the friendliest but if you know what you want, just grab and go.

MScolor. A shop that is not withing the city area. I use to heard alot of this shop but somehow seems that the service standard kind of slightly drop. The price range can still be good depending on what you are looking for. However you would be advise to do your homework first before going down. Now days i seldom visit this shop unless i am near that area. You can forget about using their E-quote as i never got any reply at all. Suggest vist them personally. Do not be offended as they might not service you, it might be the way you dress as it does happen to me.

I went in a few times at Cathay photo but felt that the servise is bad as it seems like the staff only target certain customers. I cant denied that they do have quite a numberous of retail shop around where there is a wide range of cameras to accessorise and studio setup equipment. I would say is like a 1 stop shop for purchase. However, it will cost your wallet if your not careful. Do not try to visit this shop if you like to be service and need alot of enquiry unless you are well dress or else again as i mention, just grab and go.

Camera Hospital is a small shop located at Sunshine Plaza facing Peace Center. It carries alot of 2ndhand manual camera and repair services. The owner is friendly and knowlegeable, so any question about manual camera or faults can look for him. Price range i not not that clear as my equipment is all still in good condition. At times you could get a good garage deal and equipment.

The Camera Rental Center is another good place to rent your equipment if you are in need or testing out certain model before purchase. They are the premier supplier of DSLR, lenses, HD and Video cameras since 2005. Most photographer will know about this camera rentals shop. I had reserve lens for overseas shoot. They dont charge for pickup and return day if you are able to stick to their time given range. Service is good over the phone and email confirmation is almost immediate send over to me after the call.
I love the portion that they will consistantly update me via email on their weekend SuperValue Saturday it is a great saving for me.
