Interesting name is it? What does Fika really mean? explanation as follow…
Fika is a social institution in Sweden; it means having a coffee with one’s colleagues, friends, date, or family. The word has quite ambiguous connotations and can mean anything from taking a break from work or other activities, to going on a date. Swedes are among the heaviest consumers of coffee in the world and this practice of taking a break for a coffee, typically with a cinnamon roll and/or some biscuits or cookies, or sometimes a smörgås on the side, is central to Swedish life.
This place is hard to miss if you are driving along beach road. This place stands out due to the main signage, white paint and semi wide glass window at the edge of the road side.

i would say that it is rare that we could find this cafe/restaurant. I will let the photos do the talking.
this place has a nice ambiance for chilling out in the afternoon at least for me as i like the view that is bright within the cafe.

i am surprise that it is full by early evening and there were quite a few table reservation.

In summary, i would say that the food is better than average. I didn’t had the chance to try out the desert as i had my coffee break earlier at B’Bakery with my Gal. The price is on par with most cafe/restaurant. It is worth a try if you are very particular on ambiance.

i will definitely go back there to try out their tea set menu another day.

B bakery is one place which offers sandwiches, western food, pastas and desserts thus is considered something different among the streets of Muslim eateries and Turkish restaurants. It was worth coming to this place despite braving the rain. Seems like a good place for meeting up with friends for coffee and cake.
The owner of this place is a friendly lady and surprisingly she is more than happy allowing me to take photo of her creation. Despite only serving salads and sandwiches in the afternoon, we even strike a conversation with me happily snapping away. I notice that she do go around to talk to guests. The service here is indeed warm, friendly and attentive.
This is one place which i will visit again. Plus the prices are nett and that no service or GST is charged, the food is priced reasonably. The owner prides herself for fresh ingredients and being a small eatery, the menu is pretty limited and that some of the dishes might not be available.

This is the chocolate fudge cake that is a must have for chocolate lover! Do not be deceived by its simple appearance. It complete change my impression at the first mouth.
In short, I will recommend that this is a good place to have sandwiches and desserts with a few good friends for a good chat and chill-out.

Was shopping around that area where i chance upon this Cafe that is not that obvious. I have hear alot of comment and reviews about it. So i decided to have my afternoon coffee there.
Its a simply layout. Feels homely but could tell that its alot of Ikea furniture being use. Was sad that because of the time i went in, kitchen was closed till 5.30pm so i couldnt try the other main dish. I just order a cup of Mocha and the recommended Red Velvet cake. Serving portion is big and suprisingly it was nice.
Conclusion. I will go back again with my friends. I also heard christian worship music being played. I wonder if the owner is a believer..
Taken with my Nokia E71. So dont expect to see good photos ![]()
